As Piri Reis University Faculty of Law, our goal is not only to impart legal knowledge, but also to educate legal professionals who question, think critically, produce solutions, and are aware of their responsibilities to society. We place great importance on developing our students’ analytical thinking skills and ensuring that they become individuals who are committed to ethical values and responsive to the needs of the modern era.

One of the key aspects that distinguishes our faculty is the academic expertise and specialization we offer in the field of maritime law. Our curriculum includes a wide range of courses in this area, and we place particular emphasis on maritime law in our academic events such as seminars, workshops, and student symposiums. The studies conducted by our faculty members in this field are supported through national and international collaborations, and our students regularly represent our faculty successfully in maritime law-themed events. As a result of these efforts, our graduates have the opportunity to be employed in various institutions and organizations within the field of maritime law.

In addition to core legal disciplines, our faculty is also open to development in contemporary and interdisciplinary areas such as information technology law, artificial intelligence and law, green transition, and sustainability. In line with this vision, we integrate these topics into both our course programs and academic activities, allowing our students to engage with emerging legal challenges.

We do not view legal education as confined to the classroom. To encourage our students in diverse fields, we offer a rich academic environment throughout the year through seminars, extracurricular activities, student symposiums, and practical opportunities based on sectoral collaborations. Ongoing discussions with institutions both in Turkey and abroad aim to create new opportunities that will contribute to the professional development of our students.
